Aishwarya's 'Chaos' with Streep to rock America!

Aishwarya Rai might soon be a star in North America with her taking on the role of the leading lady in a North American film titled 'Chaos'.

Movie bosses have been scouting locations for the film in Vancouver, but nothing has been finalized as yet.

Aishwarya will co-star with Hollywood actress, Meryl Streep, who recently stood out in the role of an elderly, bespectacled and Yiddish-accented rabbi in HBO's 'Angels In America', according to a report in the Daily Mail.

'Chaos' is the English remake of critically acclaimed French director, Coline Serreau's social drama revolving around a bourgeois French couple who accidentally witnesses the violent beating of a young prostitute played by the Bollywood queen, by her pimps.

While the French woman played by Streep empathizes with the prostitute's suffering, her selfish husband disapproves of his wife's concern.

Streep's character traces the prostitute to the hospital where she is recovering from the beating and the two gradually develop a deep bond.

The French woman helps the prostitute find a new life, and the prostitute helps the woman find a new identity.

The Frenchwoman realizes that her life has been changed forever and she can never return to her selfish husband and son.

Playing a prostitute doesn't mean someone's gonna take their clothes off. Did you not read the plot of the movie properly?

I don't think Aishwarya is ready for this type of role, as it is one of her first ventures into Hollywood movies, which are of course very different fron the typical Bollywood films. Also, she might lose a lot of respect in the traditional countries she is famous in, like Pakistan, India, etc. Personally, I don't like the fact that she will be starring as a prostitute. Aishwarya appearance doesn't even fit that role if you think about it.

many actresses have done prostitute roles and have not lost any respect. Kareena Kapoor did in Chameli where she got great reviews. Its roles like these where you can portray your acting abilites.

Oh my GOD!!! I cant believe the posts im reading! There are people who dont give credit to a very beautifull and extremely talented actress like Aishwarya Rai!! "not remove clothes..." these people didnt even read about the script. I, as an non resident indian, think that its a great honour for the indian comunnity to have Aish in Hollywood doing something different ans showing those "Gore´s" what we are really about!

Aishwarya Rai is the most beautiful woman in the world and i agree with Faical. It is an honor to allow Aish to be here in Hollywood!!!! She is so unbelievably hot its not even funny!!!!! i love u Aish!!!!

Ash is simply the best!She can play any role.Personally I feel playing a prostitute will be a challenge.

I'm not Indian but I understand a bit about Indian and Bollywood culture. Last night I watched Bride & Prejudice on DVD, and was bowled over by Ash's beauty and performance. I have spent a few hours today finding out more about her on the net and am now bowled over by her intelligence too. This is probably a very good movie for her to make an impact on Hollywood with. I am sure she will be mindful of her reputation in India and not show parts of her body or perform acts that could ruin her reputation at home. But the plot and character sound strong and challenging and I'm sure she will be superb. Would love to see her in more British rather than American movies though!
