WMD - Kill Poor Countries People whether they use or not use them

Ever wonder why poor nations are poor and rich nations are rich? I don't. I believe I know why the poor stay poor and the rich get rich. Consider this from The Wall Street Journal of Jan 19th. The report is titled India and US to Improve Ties. Here is an excerpt:

Washington also sees India becoming a big buyer of U.S.-made arms. In the past two years, India has purchased roughly $200 million of American arms and is in negotiations to purchase P3 Orion maritime-patrol aircraft from the U.S. The deal, valued at about $1 billion, could be the biggest arms deal ever between the two nations.
There you have it. The rich sell arms to the poor and the poor pay for it through the blood, sweat, and tears of its starving millions. To be sure, it is not the starving millions who are interested in fighting the poor of the neighboring countries. These millions of poor unfortunates are merely the slave labor that supply through their toil goods that the rich buy in exchange for the arms they ship to the armies of the poor nations.

'Ever wonder why poor nations are poor and rich nations are rich?'

No, I don't. Rich nations are rich because of the choices they have made over the years. Wealth is earned, plain and simple. To even suggest that the reason India is not as rich as the United States has anything to do with arms sales is just crazy. Come on man, get a grip.

Also, how does the 'blood, sweat, and tears of its starving millions' have anything to do with a billion dollar aircraft purchase from the United States? Don't blame the United States for practicing capitalism. If they want to buy it, we will supply it.

As for the cost of the war, I and many other rational Americans know that this is the price of freedom. Remember, a government place is to protect the people, not house, clothe or even feed them; only to protect. And that is exactly what is happening right now.

The topic is HOT. But the fun part comes now. The well known rich countries wanted to earn from the rest of the developing countries at the cost of the local industries that are financial way weak to fight and sustain against the companies from the rich countries. They served their purpose too and earn lots of foreign currency and became richer. Local industries were forced to shutdown in developng countries. But this forced marriage contract from Rich countries are now boomrenging back. The Asian countries have a huge potential to manufacture. Foreign businessman wants cheaper same quality goods that these countries can supply. SO THE FOEREIGN CORPORATIONS do make more profit. But the worker at their own homeland is laid off. Now the time has come that countries who wanted open trade market to BECOME RICH and force Capitalism on the rest of the world is druling to find their way out of this contranct and pass different legislations to stop the open market policy as it is making their own citizens job less. It is very dishonorable for them as they have to lick their own spit and they did not expect this to come back to their citizens so fast. This is not relevant to this topic but this reminds me the phrase "third world countries". This phrase was given by developed rich countries to the developing countries in Asia. But as per current scenario, the locals of RICH countries are not able to compete with the foreigners in service and manufacturing industry. So who is the third world... the one with lots of money, facilty and loads of dumbs, so the country has to get its work done through foreigners... or the one with lesser facility, more brains and unimaginably high rate of progress and development that has made the socks wet for many so called RICH COUNTRIES? I like the phrase that the person used in reply.... "Get a grip" -- yes ..ditto!!!

Well, you can't really blame the US for selling arms to India... we are not forcing a sale, it's India that's eager to purchase 'em.
