Low-frill wedding for VVS Laxman

V.V.S. Laxman is planning his wedding just as he would an innings – stylish but no extravagance.

About 2,000 people expected to attend. "The wedding will be a simple but tastefully done ceremony," said Kailash Charan, the owner of Jewel Gardens in Secunderabad, where the wedding takes place at 12.53 am on Monday. "There are no frills."

The guest list includes many members of the Indian cricket team who are expected in the city on Sunday in time for the reception at 8 pm the same day at Jewel Gardens.
