Lost In Nature

Today is a memorable day. Thoroughly enjoyed an overnight extremely thrilling match in Karachi, where India won over Pakistan. Usually I don't watch cricket except if its a match between India and Pakistan, it has so much adernaline flowing always. During the pakistan batting launched www.dilt.org, which I have been thinking about launching for a while. After the match, I had about four and half hours sleep and woke up at arround 11AM.

Then decided to go for jogging, the day is cloudy and it was a perfect time for jogging as there will not be much chill in the air. So I took my car and set out for the jogging track. After parking, I decided to go in the opposite direction than the direction that I usually take to jog. I thought the road will make a circle and come to same place.

Well, a little bit history about jogging, I usually don't like jogging, I am all for running, but god always make me do the things that I don't like, i screwed up my knee about more than 6 months ago and so cannot afford to run fast still. So I had to go for jogging. And I have not been regular with workout's after my knee got injured and have been abusing with smoke/booze etc. Not really heavily, but still abusing. I got this flu last month and almost stayed with me for about 3 weeks and I felt like a vegetable at the end. After that affect I decided to get back to my high adernaline life. And started serious jogging for a week and to my worst surprise, I realized that my stamina has gone down really really low and jogging has been actually killing me really badly. I need to do something about this to back to the normal level. This is a little history and back to the 'Lost In Nature'.

Back to track, I took the track in the reverse direction, and with in 5 mins I was jogging on a track filled with wet mud due to rains, and it was nice feeling as if walking on rainy Indian roads. I continued to jog and in another couple of mins found a natural canal where water is flowing and there are lots and lots of birds chirping and a fresh air coming over the canal water filled my senses with joy. Well, the canal really has nice water. In another couple of mins I ended up beside a vast land in which there is maize/corn or some thing like is planted, it just reminded me of the fields back home and I was surprised to see those fileds in middle of Dallas. By this time my senses are completely excited and I am thoroughly enjoying the jogging and at the same time making sure that I am cafeful about my knee too. As I jogged along, i heard a train engine honking, just like the trains in India honk repeatedly. I saw that a train engine is coming in a distance and the driver is honking at me not to get on to the rails. Yes there were rails just about 100ft away and its sheer pleasure to see that all good authentic things happen at the same time. I waited for the train engine to pass by and corssed the tracks and then after a while I realized that I am jogging with out any effort for almost 30mins and that's exactly what I am looking for to get to. I also realized that the track is not actually circling, but taking me somewhere. I wanted to go back, but found some roads there and though that one road will be shortcut to the starting place and started on the road. After a while this road also started spiralling and going somewhere, that is exactly when I felt that I really need to carry a GPS, anyways, I ended up at a golf course where people are playing golf and the sky is cloudy and nature very pleasant, birds chirping all the way. In a while I am joggin in a residential area enjoying the nicely decorated houses/gardens. After a while, I thought that, if I keep continuing on this way, I will end up somwhere I dont know and then decided to go back the same way I came. I returned and went back enjoying the nice weather, nice houses, birds, fresh breeze, water in canal, track filled with mud, fields. Just about 100mts before I reached my car, it started raining really heavily and drenched me completely, which basically fulfilled the adventure with nature.

It was almost about 2 hours of jogging/walking after a long long long time. What a momorable day, I just felt as if I am Lost In Nature again as I usually love to do.

Hi Jag,

Well I forgot to mention, that while I was jogging, I was thinking, 'If Jag was going on this jogging venture, how would she see all these things arround me, what would she capture with her cam.' Probably that thinking made me enjoy the things more.

Sometimes making small difference in our life unveils a whole new world.
