Pleasant Trip To Houston

Yesterday evening I drove to houston. It was about 4 1/2 hours journey, I started arround 6:00PM in the evening. The drive was really really good, as it is spring the whole nature is very vibrant, with lush green trees,/fields and all trees/plants blooming with various colored flowers. It looked as if the whole earth is having some kind of festival and decorated with flowers of various colors. Reahed Manju's place at 10:30 OM and did some coding at Manju's place until late in the night arround 2:30 AM.

Today went to houstons Meenakshi temple. Its about 30 miles from Manju's place. It stared raining heavily while we started, but in the temple area there was no rain, which is kind of good. Once I saw the temple, it felt really really really good, its relative old temple and looks like a typical south indian temple, will post pics soon. I used my new camera phone to take pics. It's a really cool camera phone.

In the temple I had some real pleasant experience. Once I entered a georgeous telugu girl came straight before me, well she is actually making circles arround the temple, kind of making 108 rounds, which is kind of surprising to find somebody young like that in America. I started going arround temple and visited ganesh first and found that Kumaraswamy, brother of Ganesh is also sitting just beside him, i saw something like that for the first time.

After making a round, I entered main temple and the priest at temple came directly to me and asked me to help him carry apple box from the freezer to Devi Ma. I was surprised at this sudden happenning and actually felt as if Devi Ma is directly inviting me into her residense. What an honor, right ? And after offerring prayers to Devi Ma I was about to leave and one more person came to me and asked me to help him carry another apple box to the another Ganesh temple that is behind the Devi Ma's temple. Gosh, god after god inviting me into their residense. After visiting Ganesh, went to Canteen and ate Pontal and Curd rice and back home. It was realy nice feeling serving god, may be I am indebted to the Houston temple.
