That should alarm New Delhi, whose daily battles against terrorism are not of any major international concern. India's is an extremely lonely war. The 9/11 commission believes, "Musharraf's government represents the best hope for stability in Pakistan and Afghanistan." The conclusion gives clear indication of where the US policy on Pakistan is headed. The writing on the wall does not augur well for India's hope of US pressuring Pakistan to end support to Kashmir violence.
