Green Green Green Andhra Pradesh

I have been going around Andhra Pradesh for the last one month. One common thing that I saw is the increasing hope in the eyes of rural folk. This hope is due to various reasons.

The primary one being the abundant rains that Andhra and Rayalaseema regions received last year. I saw plush green fields with numerous varieties of crops and tanks filled with water that is sufficient to raise crops for another year. I could see greenery everywhere I went except in the Telangana region. Of course I went only to very few places in Telangana region, and where ever I went I could clearly see the lands filled with rocks, hills and meager water storage facilities. I think the policies initiated by the previous CBN’s government are going to yield more and more industries in the Telangana region. The current YSR’s regime is taking the policies forward which will certainly help in the industrialization of Telangana.

Another reason for the hope in the eyes of rural folks is the current governments numerous irrigation initiatives such as mini dams, cross linking rivers, watershed areas and other huge investments to support the agriculture industry. The successful completion of these projects will certainly revolutionize the lives of rural folks; Andhra will become a role model for other states in utilizing the rain water resources and may hopefully yield to interlinking of rivers across India, thus making India’s rural community prosper.

I would like to conclude that the current YSR’s regime is certainly putting efforts in the direction of shaping a Green Green Green Andhra Pradesh. Thanks to CBN’s regime that started a culture of embarking on huge initiatives. If everything goes right, it is not a distant dream to see Andhra Pradesh becoming ‘Annapurna’ of India again.

HI anna...hope your having a good time in india and a Happy Sankranthi. Howz Ganesh. I atleast hope now the YSR govt will do something to Telengana, which CBN has completely ignored in developing his so called Hitech city and Banjara n Jubilee hills, where he even lost in elections.Even I would be hoping for green Annapoorna Pradesh.

Hi Gautham,

Good to see message from you and happy Sankranti to you too.

Well coming to CBN I really don't think that one should NOT criticize him, instead one should commend him for bringing a competitive work culture, progressive thinking, huge investments and a I-M-POSSIBLE attitude to A.P. With out his precedence I would doubt if YSR govt. would ever embark on 'Jala Yagnam' projects.

I wish that Telangana people utilize the current opportunity that is knocking their doors in the form of huge investments and transform the region into a developmental workhorse.
